Hi! I’m Emma Baty, and I'm the Senior Entertainment Editor at Cosmopolitan. In this role, I lead Cosmopolitan.com’s entertainment vertical, which drives 20 percent of overall web traffic. That includes managing a freelance budget and roster of writers to produce roughly 30 stories a month, working closely with our social and data teams to strategize for story performance, and mentoring writers on our team as they take on big stories. I also pitch, write, and edit digital cover stories, gaining exclusive access to in-demand celebrities. Previously, I was Cosmopolitan.com's News Writer, writing 5-10 news stories daily and helping with live event coverage. 

Originally from Grand Haven, Michigan, I’m a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with a double major in magazine journalism and art history. I currently live in Brooklyn with my husband and mini goldendoodle.
